Here a receptacle is added to the circuit before the first switch. It is not controlled with the switches but is instead always hot. The source hot, neutral and ground are spliced to a 2-wire cable that runs to the new outlet. The 3 way switches and light are then wired in the usual way with the common on SW2 spliced to the source hot and the light hot wired to the common on SW1.
This is the standard 15 amp 120 volt wall receptacle outlet wiring diagram. This is a polarized device. The long slot on the left is the neutral contact and the short slot is the hot contact. A grounded contact at the bottom, center is crescent shaped. Don’t use this receptacle when no ground wire is available.
A 4 way switch must be wired between two 3 ways as shown in the diagrams on this page. A 4 way has five connections: one ground, and 4 circuit terminals divided into two matching pairs. Each pair of terminals should be wired to the traveler wires from one of the 3 way switches. The travelers can be wired to either terminal in a pair, but don’t mix up the pairs or the circuit won’t work properly.
To wire more than one GFCI receptacle in the same circuit, connect the source to the line terminals on each device using a pigtail splice. The load terminals are not used for this circuit. See more GFCI wiring diagrams at this link.
